When applying, please use a thick, high-viscosity starch adhesive. Avoid misting with water until the adhesive has completely dried. When used on fittings with thin lattice frames, the frames may warp. (Do not mist water directly onto such fittings.) For aluminum interior fittings, products that have been pre-treated for adhesive application can be installed in the same way as wooden fittings. Please note that use in high-temperature or high-humidity environments may cause peeling. |

“Shoji”
— A Window into Japanese Aesthetics
Shoji are traditional Japanese sliding panels made of thin wooden frames covered with washi paper.
They divide spaces gently while allowing soft, natural light to pass through, reflecting the shadows of
garden trees that change with the seasons.
This delicate play of light and shadow captures the essence of Japan’s timeless interior beauty.
Functional Beauty for Modern Living
Harokka’s Designer Shoji Paper is not only beautiful—it’s designed for daily comfort and functionality.
It can be easily removed without leaving fibers on the frame, making replacement simple and clean.
Our shoji paper is approximately four times stronger than standard
paper.
It’s durable enough to resist tears, even from accidental touches or playful children.
With a 96% UV cut rate, it helps protect your skin and interior furnishings from everyday sunlight exposure, keeping your space bright and safe.
Thanks to its air-layer structure, Harokka’s paper offers 32% higher thermal insulation than typical shoji paper—helping maintain a comfortable room temperature all year round.
01 The bursting strength of this shoji paper averages 340 kPa, compared to the JIS standard minimum value
of 78.45 kPa.
02 UV-cut performance tested using the standardized method established by the Japan Chemical Fibers
Association.
03 This product has a basis weight of 70 g/m², compared to the typical 40–50 g/m² for standard shoji
